TANGIBLECRAFT

Graduated in Fine Arts and Art History, Jonathan Pranlas continued his training at the University of Aix-Marseille where he studied theater and specialized his practice in directing and workshop leading.

His interest in movement allowed him to approach the medium of contemporary dance as an autodidact. He trained for two years in Paris in structures such as the Centre National de la Danse, Menagerie de Verre and Peter Goss Studio. He then created pieces with various choreographers such as M.Bucar (Slovenia), S.Prantl (Austria), K.Rigos (Greece) and R.Murgi (Italy) ...

In 2008, he founded ‘’Collectif Borborygme’’ with other Brussels based artists, in order to widen the

choreographic practice by including other art forms and co-signed several works.

In the last years, he has been working as a performers for specific projects such as ‘’Inferno’’ by Romeo Castellucci, and ‘‘Dialogue 09’’ at the Neues Museum by Sasha Waltz.

He is currently working with Alexandra Waeirstall (Noema dance works) in Germany , Hans Van Den Broek (SOIT) in Belgium and Mathilde Monnier (CCN Montpellier) in France.

TANGIBLECRAFT is creating works in the field of performing art, contemporary dance and physical theater. Founded by Jonathan Pranlas, tangible craft is presenting works which invite other artists-performers to collaborate.

In its etymological sense the Tangible joins what is inscribed within the texture, which is palpable, sensitive. Created with the notion of possible.

Craft considers the handmade, the craftsmanship, but also refers to the notion of «embarkation» that is able to bring, to collect, to invite people towards, to move into, to land on ...

The intention is to set up, to shape sensations of space and body with a non-absolute version of it, to seek in the intangible territories of creation, to give form to the sensation.

Stating dance as a possible projection of thoughts in space.

Teaching

He is teaching dance technique (based on alignement and release notion), as well as workshops of
